Hello friends! My name is Grace Harang. Currently, I am a senior in high school in my hometown of Sitka, Alaska. Sitka is a beautiful small town in the shadow of towering alpine peaks and sits gazing out to the endless pacific ocean. This island community surrounded by wild land has taught me to love hiking, exploring, fishing, hunting, and capturing all of the beauty I see with my camera.
In school, my favorite subjects have always been writing, art (or anything creative), and I also enjoy biology and studying the natural world around me. We will not speak about math here. Besides school and being outdoors, I have also swam competitively basically my whole life along with my mom and two older brothers. I am very thankful for the opportunities that I have grown up and been able to experience!
I only surrendered my life to Jesus this last fall(2020), and He has been working! Though there was lots of anxiety and confusion around the idea of college, I had been planning on attending one until He stepped in and said that I am going on this trip instead. I won’t say that I argued! I realized that He has been preparing me my whole life to go on a mission trip, unbeknownst to me! Saying that I am excited about this trip and all that I will learn, grow, and experience is an understatement!
